Is it safe to be given Morphine and Pfenergin (spelling) while being 28 weeks pregnant?

not sure on that but i would not think so morphine is a narcotic phenergian is a anti nausea medicine which may be but there are others that are definitely safe . the best person to check with other then your ob is the pharmacist she/he can tell what has been tested and what the results are! Any meds like morphine are a possible risk. They don't test medicines like morphine in pregnant women, just in case they aren't safe, so doctors just don't know. It's each woman's choice whether or not to take that risk. It might be absolutely fine, and cause no problems whatsover. Or, it might cause birth defects. Morphine is a level 3 drug, though, so it is considered a higher risk than other choices.

Me and my two year old son are a testament to this question. It is totally safe. When I was nearing the end of my fourth month of pregnancy, I began to have problems with kidney stones. I was hospitalized for four days and given morphine for the pain and pfenegren for nausea. They worked well together and four and a half to five months later, my healthy little boy was born and to this day he is totally normal and happy.

Keep in mind that every medicine affects everyone differently. What works for one may not work for another. However, my wife was on both while pregnant with our second child and he's just fine.

They have given me that thru 2 of my pregnancies, My kids are just fine. Very smart Nacotics can be used if needs, and under the direction of a dr.

Dr also gave me pain pills, and other meds THAT I NEEDED.
