My daughter is 6 months old and I dress her warm at night but she wakes up 3 times a night. I think she may get cold. I want to give her a big blanket but I'm a little nervous. Is she too young for a blanket?

I think it would be fine to give her a blanket now. The SIDS risk is mostly past by six months.....
Good Luck

I have three daughters and they have all been using blankies since they were brought home. Newborns should be wrapped or swaddled in them. A 6 month old should still use a baby blanket. You shouldn't use a big blanket because she could get 'trapped' in it. The blankie shouldn't be any higher than her belly. You can tuck the loose ends under her. She will most likely kick it off though... All of my girls did!

Just give her one big enough to cover her. My son had a blanket from the get go.

My son is six months and he gets his blanket every night.
Just cover them from the waist down and make sure it is not a very heavy or thick blanket, he will be fine!

I think 3 months is still to young. My daughter was almost 8 months before i covered her.

You could probably give her a small one...don't give her one that is large enough for her to roll around and get "stuck" where she can't move or breathe.
