I have known as many men as women that do take showers
several times a day, wash hands and hair and change their
clothes. I cannot see a difference between sexes, when it comes to hygienics.
By the way the negative examples I remember were not linked to a social background...

i think women tend to groom themselves more often. I mean, women enjoy baths, smelling nice, looking nice, they have a LOT of bathroom products, while men, they shower, they shave, they go XD (y'know what i mean). And plus, i think a penis is scary T^T so i think that's dirtier

It's not dependent on gender. It depends on the individual.
Do you mean in terms of household chores? or hygiene? Everyone I know are very hygienic, whether they're male or female.
However, when it comes to household chores, some of the guys are more tidy than I. And yet, all females I know personally are anal-retentively spotless.
Yep! I have a cluttered room. I have books, papers, pens, strewn about. I put everything away when i'm about to have guests.
As per personal and dental hygiene? Spotless. :-)

Men are dirtier, but more overt about it
Women are just as flithy, but more covert about it.

Actually, men shower more because women can't wash their hair (if it's long) every day. Or so says my girlfriend.
But yea, women are more hygeinic. That's what happens when you're evolved to look after kids, they're dirty little buggers :P.

I would say that is pretty equal depending on how well they were taught hygiene by their parents when they were little and whether or not they actually paid attention.
