And we have the worst

Why dont all schools go and get the entire Dutch Sex ed progrma and introduce it telling the dumb parents who get their kids pregnant to go jump citing the evidence proving them wrong.

And also bring in laws to have force them to let their kids attend ...

Therefore dropping our teen pregnancy rate to minute just like the Dutch creating far more relaxed mature teenagers in the process.

Theses starts 4-6 year old... is constant ... see links

The way dutch kids are brought up and educsated on this...

they have absolutely no embarrasment, giggles, shyness, fears, hang ups, guilt, shame etc regarding sex and can talk openly about all aspects as openly as discussing how the video works and buy condoms with as little thought as sweeties

The program seems rather vague. As I've spent time in the Netherlands AND in France, I've noticed that the children in both countries are less precocious. Their childhoods seem to be extended and that's a good thing. They don't dress like little Brittney Spears clones or act like little thugs and school attire is much more formal than in the states. Parents also seem to avoid letting the teens have so much "alone" time. Young teen girls were playing jumprope in parks in Paris and young teen boys were playing games with other boys. I didn't see any teens making out on the streets like I do here. Nor do I hear of "day parties" held after school at empty houses. European parents spend more time making sure that their children and teens are supervised.

I think that attitudes such as these are more responsible for their low rate of sexual behavior than any state run program. It's too bad parents here don't jump on THAT bandwagon and just insist on better and more responsible behavior from our teens rather than ignoring their blatantly sexual play before it becomes truly sexual behavior.

Because parents in the U.S concerns more about their believes than they do about their children.
For example...
If there were a school in the U.S that wants to teach children about sex (sex ed), they have to go to the parents and ask for the parent's permission whether or not the kids can be shown these information. And...of course some parents are not so open minded and they reject the school's idea to teach the kids about sex, and if the student went without the parent's permission, the school can get sued, even if it is their kids fault. So, therefor their children only learn about sex from other promiscuous kids and that is the reason why the difference in U.S and those 3 other countries.
Also, kids nowadays are bombarded with sexually explicit images in the media, even though the common population think it is a normal issue, like for the example the music video by britney spears, christina aguilera, and hip hop music video showing them such skimpy dresses or other sexually oriented advertising.

I have to agree with Lori K. I've been to many Euorpean countries (including Holland, France etc.) many times and I have to say that the behaviour of kids and teens in the UK is disgusting. And they get away with it because their parents let them. I don't think the government is responsible for an individual child's upbringing. It is the parents' responsibility, it is time they faced up to their responsibility rather than blaming any government that may be in power at the time.
