Just make sure it's in your Windows Media Player and then when you get your Itunes back and your music for some reason isn't there. You can add you music back.

you won't lose any music you lost prior to installing itunes. to ease your mind, merely export the music files somewhere else on your computer (e.g. "my music")

if you have another music player like windows media player or real player, have those routines 'sniff' your itunes library or just drag and drop to a different folder prior to uninstallation of itunes
