My sister is a freshman in college. Basically, the college found alcohol in her room. They fined her and they are sending home a letter to my mom and dad to notify them.

A big part of me wants to hide the letter so that my parents don't get it. But a small part of me wants nothing to do with it. I mean this would be great payback for all the things that she's done to me. But then I would be a complete #ss if I did nothing about it.

I'm gonna hide the letter no matter what is said (cause well she's in college and who doesn't drink in college?) .

But what would you do if your older brother or sister got caught? Would you help them out or get payback.

I'm gonna hide the letter no matter what (as I said before) but I'm just wondering what you guys would do if it was your brother or sister. If my parents found out that I'd hid the letter I would get into more trouble than her. Because they probably already know that she's gonna have a beer or two while underaged but the fact that I would not let them know about it would piss them off. But that's only if they ever found out. So what would YOU do?

Why do you consider it "payback"? How about telling them so they can find out if drinking in college has become a problem or not? I know people I went to college with who drank so much they flunked all their classes because they were hung over and didn't go. In stead of trying to "pay back" your sister, at least try to help her first. Maybe she needs someone to give her a wake up call. Try calling her first before turning the letter over to your parents. Try being her sister and friend instead of her arch rival.

HELP YOUR SISTER OUT! I would advise taking the letter. Sure, all siblings want payback on the other, but this is big trouble for your sis. I would help my sister out. It may be wrong to hide the letter from your parents, but I would definatley do it anyways! :]

My older sibling? I'd tell on her and then make copies of the letter and distribute them around the neighborhood. Of course mine was an abuser and a sl**. I thought I was popular in school, but in reality all my friends were coming over to get with her.

What would be the purpose of having sibilings if you don't help each other out. OK so lets say you get caught helping her out, will the parents be mad....they willl say they are they may even punish you, however behind close doors they are saying how grateful they are they have two kids that look out for eachother.

well u cant always help them out.. you need to let them learn ther own lesson even if it is harsh. let them make ther own mistakes in life so that they can learn from it and become a better person.... and if you wer to hide the letter maybe she would do it again... thinks about things like that..

I'd let them get saught. It's their life if they want to screw it up then they deserve what comes with the stupid things they do. They wont learn if nothing happens to make them see the wrongs of their life.

You missed one option... you could "payback" on her you can hide the letter, or you can use it to "extort" favors from your sister. buhahahahha....
