I live in a growing town, last year they built a Super Wal-mart and this year we are getting a Home Depot, business will boom around here and so will the community, there are however NO second hand shops and for single moms they are a haven, sooooo I thought HEY I could open one myself but how do I get started, I googled it and everyone wanted $$ for their opinion, lol yea ok! Maybe you could get advice from a business in a neighboring town that does not see you as a threat to their business. (You might have to travel a couple of hours away but it would sure be worth it). I think you could be a success. There is one is the town I live in and it has been open for several years and apparently does quite well. They focus on clothing and small appliances, glassware, books, toys and even some furniture. Kinda like what you would find at a yard sale. Good luck...this could be an awesome business for you.

It is a very good idea provided you have the sufficient funds and a good location to place the same, if possible maximum nearer to the Super Wal-mart and the Home Depot.!!!!

I would find out what your area provides as far as free business help for small businesses. Where I live, the city provides free counseling and free business classes to anyone wishing to start their own business! Just start calling different depts at the govt. level where you live and also, try googling your city name, or the biggest city/town near you and hopefully it will give you info that way.
