Id call your doctor just to be on the safe side, i know headaches are a pregnancy problem, but they can also mean that you are dehydrated, or coming off of caffeine

It is one of those unfortunate results of our hormones. I found they were very similar to the headaches I would get when I was on birth control.
Ask your doctor what you can take. Mine said acetaminophen(whatever), but I chose not to take it.
What I did was cold compresses on my forehead. I would rub the pressure points on my temples. There are also ones on your eyebrows that help. There is also a pressure point in the webbing of your thumb that helps with headaches.
There are other natural remedies that you can try, just research them on the Internet.
When all else failed, I would drink a small caffeine drink, I personally thought that was better than a pill.
Good luck and they will subside some after the first trimester.

im 15wks and today is the first day in over a month i have not woken up with one! check with your doctor but they are common for a couple of reasons- #1- your body is creating and holding more blood which is causing them and then also #2 when u make more blood u also seem to make more mucus as well. Truthfully we have to suffer i take Tylenol and take regular doses of Sudafed both of which are safe during pregnancy but please check with your doctor first! also make sure you drink alot alot of fluids like juices and water sometimes that is sign you may be getting dehydrated. also depending on how you feel about it sometimes if you are hydrated enough and know that isnt it and nothing else is working u can try a cup of coffee or tea or some form of caffiene. If you are like me laying down is not an option but if it is i would try laying down with ice or heat on your neck this may also help you. GOOD LUCK Trust me i feel your pain it is horrible and not to much we can do either

hi. i am almost 14 weeks pregnant and have been getting really bad headaches almost daily for the last month. I went for a Dr appt last week and she said it was the blood vessels dilating and the surge of hormones. She said you can try putting a cold washcloth on your head or take a Tylenol. I dont plan on taking anything at all during this pregnancy so i just deal with it. Its awful, i know, hang in there! Hopefully they will go away soon!Good luck to you and congrats :)

hi i am 41 weeks pregnant and i was experiencing pretty bad headaches at my early stage of pregnancy too. It was terrible i had to do something so i decided to go to the chiropractor at least 1-2 times a week eventually my headaches went away. It made my life much easier and the chiropractor explained to me what was causing the headaches he was very helpful.

Yea I have experienced this. I am 18 weeks pregnant. Just get some sleep and it should go away. If not then have your doctors check your iron. My iron was low and I found out that that was why I was having headaches. Make sure you check with you doctor for further information.

I had aweful headaches as well with all of my pregnancies. When I talked to my doctor finally with my third, she said I needed more rest. She advised me to sit in a quiet room, or lay in my bed for 1/2 hour every 6 hours during the day. You don't necessarily have to sleep. Just the rest will recoup your body. It worked for me, but could have just been power of suggestion. ha ha. Either way, I was grateful for a valid excuse to hand the kids over to my husband for a while each day...
Good Luck!

Oh god...I had those too....all through my first trimester. I used to have to take tylenol and hold a hotpad to my head...it was terrible. I didnt have one bit of any other "bad" pregnancy symptoms besides those, but they sucked badly! I did tell the doctors and nurses about it...they werent concerned. I heard that it might be caused by the increase in your blood volume during pregnancy...because it doubles! Tough it out...it pretty much goes away after your first 3 months or so. Poor girl!

I had the worse headaches when i got up to about 9 weeks and to about 16 weeks. I would get them so bad i wanted to scream. But it should pass. Just like morning sickness and everything else. It should go away. I felt like i had them non stop for weeks. But they did end up going away. Just another part of pregnancy you could do without. I promise they will go away as you get further in your pregnancy.

I get them too and I am 19 weeks. I drink plenty of water and eat really healthy. I think its normal. We have tons of diff hormones running through us, as well as more blood and your heart increases in size. So much stuff. SOmetimes I just have a Dr. Pepper its ok to drink caff everynow and then. I try not to take anything I am very no medicine type of person. But if you have to take Tylenol every now and then!!
