Does anyone know of any schools in MA (Boston area). I have no college. ( I only have some-- certified phlebotomist) thats about all the experience I have in the medical field. I really would love to be involved in births. Do I need to become a nurse first? I heard I didn't have to. I'm sure it would make for a more successful midwife... but i'm not sure if I can pass the courses to become a nurse. Its been a loong time since I've been in school and I failed miserably in math and science in highschool.

Try and speak to your doctor and he will guide you, I think the practical nurse (PA) does not require that much of math and science.

Again you are now older so your attention span and concentrations are more focus, so the things that you fail in the past will come much easy now but you have to start at the beginning. May need extra help and you can get it to day schools are more user friendly and you yourself will be school friendly because now you want to learn and no one is asking you to learn.

distinctive faculties grant midwifery courses. purely google for those on your province/state! Do you quite need to alter into an midwife particularly of an obstetrician? shop asking your self this question each and all of the time. See the positives and negatives of the two and evaluate.
