They most likely won’t make the playoffs his year. Even if they do, they aren't built for a deep run. Things look good for them as early as next season though. Stastny has proven that he is capable of being a very good second line center. In the wings there are a few really good prospects up front in T.J. Hensick and Chris Stewart, both of whom have a good shot of making the team next year. Cody Burki also shows a lot of promise. On the backend they have a solid stable of D-Men in Clark (one of the most underrated D-Men in the league), Liles, Leopold (he's a big strong defenseman that can skate, and make great outlet passes), Sauer (his new mean streak has paid major dividends), and Boychuk waiting in line. If they buy out Theo's contract they'll have the money to fill the glaring holes through the free agent market. They need a big #2 D-Man. Could use a winger to play the second line with Stastny an Hejduk, and need a big hitter to take some of the agitation load off of Lapperiere. Aside from the D-man, these should be some easy holes to fill.

They have a great future after making 2 key changes.
1. Get rid of the $6 million goalie that is riding pine to free up some funds.
2. Get rid of the coach that brought the $6 million goalie here.
With those 2 things accomplished, they will be one of the best teams once again!!

They'll be fine. It looks really good. Everyone counted them out and they are not giving up. Shows what type of team they have and will have. Once Sakic retires (my guess is two years) Stastny will be very good. So I think they'll be fine. Budaj will become a great goalie and Wolski will also turn into a great player. Zubey, are you an idiot? they are not going to suck for five years you numb nuts, why don't you keep your idiotic comments to yourself you dumbass ?

They've won a Cup, and in time and with good coaching and management they'll probably win another. Not so sure about them making the playoffs this season, but that will get them all the more fired up come next year.

They'll go hide in the corner in shame along with the Flyers. Then they'll get sold to canada.
