You can use ANY image as a background - including ones you've created using image-editing software such as Paint, PSP, PhotoShop, etc.
Then, you use CSS to place the code into the background of your page.

You can use image programs like photoshop, gimp, even paint to create background images.
then you can use a myspace editor to create the codes with your newly created background. I prefer http://www.skaarn.com as my main myspace editor.
If you're wanting an entirely pimped out profile, (not just the background changed) you can once again use the editor at http://www.skaarn.com or you can find some really sweet cool myspace layouts at the following websites:
http://www.snazzyspace.com
http://www.hot-lyts.com
http://www.whateverlife.com
http://www.skize.com
Hope that helps :)

You have to go to a website that gives you free codes. The following are good sites:
www.myspacestop.com
www.mypimpspace.com
www.profilemods.com
www.howfreelayouts.com
Then when they give you a code, copy it, then go to your myspace, click on edit profile (thats next to your picture in the box at the top left). Now paste the code into the about me box, or any other box. Sometimes the website tells you which box to put it in.
Good luck!
