How to solve social problems in america?

I have this sociology project to do and we have to observe a social problem and a suggest solution for it(i.e teen pregnancy). I need some ideas for solving different social problems.

I say, put parents in charge. Not negligent parents who work long days, but parents who actually spend time listening to their children.

Sociologists who never had children of their own are the kinds of people who caused all the problems we've had since the sixties.
