what if........???

a women had a transgendered surgery done and became a man....and before that surgery she was a lesbian then after the surgery would she be heterosexual??? a previous question got me wondering about this

ok well first off all let me make it clear that a women was turned into a man.......

yes most people would consider her or him.....to be heterosexual because her physical parts are that of a man and then she likes women but geneticaly she is still a lesbian.............lol.....trapped in a man's body

Yes, after the surgery (well, before actually), HE would be heterosexual proving that his sexual feelings remained only toward women. I could understand how upsetting it must be to be considered a woman after fighting very hard to become a man. Even the LGB community seems to often treat transgendered and transexual people in phobia ways.

Oh sure some female traits wouldn't go away (just like some male traits in men who become women), but isn't it mainly the outside that counts? How often out in public is someone gonna be able to figure out what genes someone has on the inside?

She remains what she always was, transgendered. The surgery only changes the appearance of her body, it doesn't make her into a man. The nature of transgenderism is still an unknown and is of a class separate from what is commonly considered "sexual orientation." The term "heterosexual" probably does not apply. Perhaps another term needs to be devised to fit this case.

If this 'woman' was transgendered, then she would have never been a lesbian. She would have been a heterosexual male in a womans body.
So 'she' was always a heterosexual male, just after the surgery 'her' body would finally portray his real self. Get it?

Yes he would be considered straight. This happens a lot. Because you are transgendered does not make you gay. You can be straight. They have been straight there whole life, they were just trapped in the wrong body.

A) After the surgery she would still be a woman. A woman with a phallus, but a woman nontheless.

B) Since she is still biologically a woman, she is still a lesbian.
