im gonna give a speech about while our school should recycle and everyone is calling me a tree hugger. does it really make me a tree hugger because i want to help my enviorment?

I am a lumberjack and at the same time I am very concerned about are enviroment. I beleive in recycling and I also pickup other peoples trash when I'm hiking or running in the woods. We only have one earth, take care of it if you can. :)

The problem is easily resolved. Take a small tree to the presentation and after giving your speech, sacrifice the tree by burning it. That'll show them you're not a tree hugger. Better yet, set the woods behind the school on fire before giving your speech. By the time your speech is done, sirens will be going off. Then you can exclamate your point and speech with letting them know you are the one that burned all the trees down and their houses are next if they call you a tree hugger ever again.

um..so what? i dont see where the negative conotation in "tree hugger" lies. because of you the people who think its an insult to call you a tree hugger will have a place and resources to raise their children.
its amazing that youve taken initiative to do something productive to our environment and more kids and adults should follow suit.

It just means that you are an environmentalist. Some people like to poke jokes about them but don't pay them any mind. If anything more people should be concerned about the environment. Good luck on your speech. Peace!!!!!!!!!

People ridicule what they can't or don't want to understand. You are doing something good -- they are not. Ignore them and do what is right.
