Careful with this one. In North America, major mountain ranges will be located in more than one state or province. From west to east, in the USA & Canada:
Cascades - southern British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Northern California
Rockies - British Columbia and Alberta in Canada. In the USA: Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah
Applachians - In Canada: Newfoundland and New Brunswick. In the USA: All of the East Coast states except Florida, plus Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama.
