His Xanth books started off being good fun reads. But recently his obsession with young girls' knickers has got a little disturbing. I mean, one of the recent books is actually called The Colour Of Her Panties. Now that's just weird.
I think he's got so rich and famous that his editors don't feel they can say to him "No, Piers, that's not a good idea" any more.

I loved the Xanth books but I think they went off a bit towards the end. The earlier ones were the best, great fun and lots of jokes.

I read a lot of his Xanth books when I was younger. And I know I read a few in another series but can't recall the series at the moment. Must be because I'm a dumb blonde.

The Bio of a Space Tyrant series is excellent Anthony can be a little pedantic when he is trying to put a viewpoint across but he does a very good job on out of the box thinking in these books.
The Blue Adept series is really good fantasy I was going to say, but there is an element of SF too. Again a bit too much tedious explication but hey, nothings perfect.

I started reading them in 7th grade. They were great. Haven't read any more since Demons Don't Dream. Have you read his Incarnations of Immortality series? Those are really good too.
