The matter of pot in judaism has two issues one is legally based on the complex system of analysis the law requires and one is its view philosophically, to which the law is supposed to lead one to on the highest levels.
I only want to deal with judaisms view philosophically. Judaisms goal is for a person to devote as much energy as one can, and each person is diff. to the pursuit of knowledge and a recognition of God through knowledge, something no other religion perscribes too. In fact its funny the great greek philosphers, aristotle plato etc. and the great muslim philosphers such as al farabi are mostly in line with jewish philosophy. Back to our point, being that judaism wants a perosn to involve the intellect then drugs would be antithetical to that idea, bec it disengages the mind. Not only that a friend of mine heard a great rabbi talk about the topic and he stated another danger. That on the high you see reality itself in a distorted way and those ideas tha tyou develop and expierence on the high will be a part of you r mental operation and framework after the high. So the mental distortion is lasting and effects what you precieve reality is, the greastest danger

i don't know. but see what they say about alcohol, and if they let you drink that, then they should have no problem w/marijuana since it's less harmful than alcohol and tobacco. also, God made pot and man made alcohol... who do you trust?
