If they are a juvenile, they are not put in with adults. If they are eighteen then they are probably put in with adults, if there is additional holding cell space they might put the younger adults separate, but being eighteen the day is coming when they are going to be housed with the other older adults.

That depends on the age of the child, the offense and the location. If you get arrested in a town or county with one jail cell, probably.

No, here in the city that I live in, teens and kids that get arrested for serious things,go to Juvy, i dont know if its called the same in other states. In Kentucky it is. They get orange uniforms and they get very very tiny rooms with nothing but a bed in it. They get nasty food and go out for air sometimes, they pretty much get treated like regular adults prissoners. I havent experienced it but my friends dauhter got out of Juvy 2 months ago. terrible place to go to. For more info you can type in google.com and type juvenile jail

Depends on age and severity of the crime.

17 ...is possible.
Being tried as an adult means the kid KNEW he was breaking the law and is not sorry.

well, it depends on what age they are and where you live. Where i am at if you are over 16 years old then you get taken to the same place as adults but if you are under that age then they take you to the juvenile facility.

Depends on the age, however most times then not they're held in separate rooms. They don't even put them in cells.

Then again I'm not an officer, so I'm just putting my 2 cents out there like the rest of us!
