If you know of such a person, how was that person treated? With disdain? Respect? Love?

I am about to "choose" to be straight again, since I can't find anyone and I am feeling quite lonely.

No, most people dont come out as straight. Straight people know that theyre straight. Its easier to identify heterosexuality than it is homosexuality. Anyways, take a look at Anne Heche and Julie Cypher, they were both shunned from the community and called fakes because they were. Coming out straight isnt to be celebrated.

Anne Heche would be the closest I could think of. Her decision was greeted with bemusement and surprise - especially given her rather eccentric behaviour and her mother's whacko pronouncements - but certainly not 'disdain'. I think most people in the gay community understand that sexuality is seldom clear-cut and simple.

I knew i am a lesbian when i was only 9yrs old, i dated girls at that young age and wasnt attracted to guys. I am 20yrs now and i just came out of the closet last year to my family and friends
i have tried to come out before when i was 14yrs but my family didnt wish to hear that. after that i just kept it in, then i came out again and this time, my family didnt had a choice since i been gay basically all my life lol. i think as u mature, u get more respect, when i tried to come out when i was 14, my parents was that i am 2 young to know that and why? at that age, i didnt know how to explain to them and because i dint have any gay friends yet. now i know more about it and i had help others come out to their families and friends.

Well, one of my good guy friends confessed to me, and 2 other people. Of coarse someone blurted it out, and eventually all of his friends knew, but I didn't think nything bad of it. I was actually really happy for him that he wasn't ashamed of it. I felt bad, of coarse, for the girl that liked him at the time, but she moved on. Some guys backed away a little bit from him after that, but he has always been the same person to me, and most everybody else.

Two of my coworkers from seperate jobs did. In the first job he was well treated and hung out with the girls on girls night out, but he freaked me out because I am a guy and I think he liked me. The second job he was cool we smoked up weed even after and nothing changed. As long as they dont hit on any of their guy friends or have a current girlfriend there is no problem.

OMG, that's is the most original question I have ever heard of ( I'm straight ). I never never ever even thought about that. This is a really good question. I'm sure by the way. Many people, especially at teen years are confused about it ( not me ). I hope your not in that position.

Actually i do know someone who lived life as a lesbian for 9 years and then began having these thoughts & feelings towards men...she then labeled herself as bi-curious (just in reverse). So she tried being with a man and found that she could enjoy it. She was in a relationship with him for 3 yrs and all of her lesbian friends were happy as long as she was happy. BUT then she met this woman at her job and couldnt resist so all of her ex-gay premonitions flew right out the window!! Right along with this question.

You're either gay, straight or bi-sexual.

As for coming out as straight after being gay.......highly unlikely. As many so called ex-gays have proven, they aren't really ex-gay, just sadly suppressing themselves to conform to a hateful world. Thankfully, I choose not to.

Happily 100% Gay, no additives or preservatives

Not if they were really LGBT.
Of course, you know that one's natural sexual orientation, whether that is LGBT or straight, does not change over time.
