You could start by redecorating your home. You know different things to erase his memory. Moving furniture around, painting, easy things can change the whole atmosphere of your home. You could put together puzzles, do crosswords, spring clean. Listen to a good radio station, such as the old rock n roll, or hip hop, nothing sad and depressing. Sing out loud. Pray a lot. You could try doing a 30 minute work-out a day. Trying cooking things you haven't ever cooked before, something that you have to really concentrate on. Just keep yourself busy, and you will soon find the pain lifting. Good luck.

It helped me to buy books on the subject. When there is no one to talk to, the books provide a different perspective on the situation. We tend to look for answers in confusing times and the books helped me gain some clarity. Remove all reminders of your ex. I read that rearranging your furniture helps by creating a "new environment" that won't remind you of your past. Researching about the subject was what really helped me the most. I think once you gain an understanding of the situation when nothing makes sense. Good luck.

If you are in the home the two of you previously lived in together, move the furniture around, change things so that you are no longer reminded of him being there. Start taking walks or doing other excercises to help take your mind off of it, maybe do a jigsaw puzzel or start doing crosswords or word search puzzles. Just keep yourself busy, you can even repaint some rooms in the house if you own it.

What things do you like to do? I would start with those and enjoy them and then take up something that you had been considering but did not have time to get into. Also look at learning about something completely new. You know your likes and dislikes better than anyone, so get yourself immersed into a new adventure or adventures. Life is far to short to dwell on the past.

No matter what you do, only time heals the heart. You need to take that time and do things that you enjoy, like reading books, or excercise, or learning a new skill. Choose something you need to give your full attention to, that you can puch yourself to commit to, that you always wanted to do. this way you get time to heal your heart and it's productively. Even done any charity work?.......that satisfying and humbling too.

Read, hang out with friends, go see a movie, take classes, vacation, get a tattoo (lol, for fun), volunteer, work on accomplishing any goals you might have, remind yourself of all the ways your life could be worse...
Good Luck.
