It cannot be otherwise. Determine what you want if you want to influence the changes and it will be given.

Nobody can tell the future therefore nobody can change something that you don't know or have no idea of.We can only change something that we are certain of existing.
Maybe your question should be "can we shape the future?" well yes, by the things we do at present would tell a lot of what the shape of the future will be. If you sew good things today you would surely reap a lot of good things tomorrow.
The future is what you do today. You actually sort of decide today what you want to have tomorrow. It is absord to decide of the things you want tomorrow, tomorrow.
Certainly, nothing can be changed on something that is not certain to exist. But we can change our ways today to shape our tomorrow or future.

You change the future in everything you do. You have changed more than your future in asking this question, you have changed mine, because if you hadn't asked it, I wouldn't be answering it. Try it. Change something. Think about what would have happened if you hadn't changed it. There is your answer.

It most certainly can be changed-example-if you are obese and stop pigging out and begin to eat healthy-you change your life and how much longer you will live it. In so doing, instead of dying, you live, marry, have a carrer, accept or reject Jesus gift of salvation (which also changes your eternity as well as how you live now). you maybe have children, some of whom may invent life-changing inventions or medical cures, and on and on. As one person replied, every decision we make changes our future as well as our presence.

The future depends on what happens today. Can what happens today be changed? Certainly.

No it cannot because whatever happens whether we believe it to be changed or not, that will the future - the outcome that was destined to be.

Yes. The future is'nt written in stone. With every decision we make, we alter the outcome of our future.

Since the future is always later, nothing can have an effect on it because it never arrives.
