Are there any good herbal treatments that you can take that will help curb your anxiety? Serious answers please. I would greatly appreciate good suggestions...preferrably something that someone has tried and worked....Thanks!!!

St. John's Wort.

And, seriously, take up meditation. I have also found that when I take a larger view...expand my perspective and realize it's not all about me...get out of the "me" mode, anxiety melts away. Count your blessings sounds corny, but when you really see how bad others have it in the world, you begin to feel gratitude, lose fear, and breathe. I saw BLOOD DIAMOND this weekend. That cured me of the "me" mode in a hurry.

I used to have social anxiety realy bad. When I had to appear in a public setting, sometimes I would have to hide in the bathroom and wait for the shaking to stop. I couldn't even get medical help because I was afraid to see the doctor. Anyways, I started doing yoga and daily meditations. It helped a lot! I also have another "person" or "character" that I step into to face certain situations. Kinda' like acting. Try it! Good Luck!

Lavender is excellent. Make a steam by boiling a pot of water, then add a few drops of lavender essential oil (found at health food stores). Tie back your hair, then cover your head with a towel and put it over the pot. Sooooo relaxing, plus great for your skin.

As well as herbal treatments try breathing exercises, usually when you are anxious you hyperventilate,

I find doing this every night helps get to sleep and then also use it when in anxious situations
