yes there certainly could be. almost all of the stars are binaries or trinaries, in fact one stars is actually six different stars (three orbitting pairs) i forget the name of that star thoguh. but yes there could definitely be a whole system of nothing but stars. it would be quite different from our own solar system, and it wouldn't be a solar system but instead a stellar system, but yes there definitely could be and likely is such a thing out there.

I don't know why not.
Our solar system was made of a giant ball of gas. Eventually, due to gravity, it settled into a large mass with rings, then the rings made the planets.

The center formed into a star because of its great mass.

If the original ball of gas had been a lot bigger, maybe the planets that formed from its rings would have enough mass to create stars.

Good question. -anyone?

It seems unlikely, according to the current hypothesis of star formation. In effect, when stars are formed, there is other matter present that will inevitably form other objects like planets and moons. I suppose that it might be possible for a star to be born without any other remnants, but I wouldn't really think that it would happen.

Yes they're called binary star systems. More often the stars orbit each other but they can have smaller ones orbiting a larger one.

there is this wild concept going around in the non secular section that a supernatural being created the earth and the stars in six days!?!?! would desire to have been truly tiring because of the fact he rested on the seventh. yet truly and what has been shown, the image voltaic gadget grew to become into created in a nebula. each and all of the circumstances got here jointly and each and all of the climate have been there and in some billion years, a sprint one image voltaic gadget grew to become into born. I even have heard that a close-by famous individual exploded and the resultant shockwave delivered on the introduction of the image voltaic gadget, yet there is not any medical evidence of this. In any adventure, stars exploded (or implode) whilst they have used up all their gas and all that's left is an iron center (which would be unable for use for gas). besides the shown fact that this center will glow white warm for an prolonged time, do not anticipate bringing your marshmellows because of the fact this is going to nevertheless be too warm.

By definition a solar system needs a sun. Solar means "with, of,or by, a sun".

what you are describing is a primary star with companions. if this qualifies as a star system i don't know.
