Look up inside your tailgate handle,(you may have to remove the bezel)there are 2 rods that your handle pulls inwards.Remove the rods,(clips retain them)& pull them in with pliers (same time) then pull your tailgate.You probably need a handle,but hard to tell from here.When u are done,lube every moving part (latches,hinges etc) good luck

Push in really hard and pull up on the handle this will relieve pressure on the tailgate.

take the screws off on the access plate ..you will see the rods inside pull them both at the same time.. very easy

i agree with giff but i have replace alot of end gate handles to resolve this problem

don't even try it. You are going to screw it up.

take it to a body shop... not a dealer. They'll pop it open for you.
