is it hard to talk to ur mom about ur period if it was ur first time

yes, i didnt tell her for like 3 months. i just didnt feel right about it, however, i am sure that if i would of went to her and told her that she would of helped me. it is hard to talk to your mom. right now i am trying very hard with my daughter who is 10 to talk openly to her so when she does need to talk about her first period(when she gets it) or sex or anything that she can come to me about it.

Actually it was a bit embarrassing, but not hard. My Mom is one of those weird parents who talked about that kind of stuff a lot so that we would not feel so bad. I think that you should talk to her about it. If she doesnt answer all of your questions, you can contact your local planned parenthood chapter and they can give you more info. I was the opposite. I could go to my mom with anything except about boys. (lol) My mom educated me well before I started my period so I new what to expect.

i was 9 when i got mines. i was in the restroom with my lil sister while she was on her potty. i wiped myself and saw blood..... i freaked big time. i thought something was wrong with me. i screamed at my mom asking her what's happening???? all she did was start laughing while talking to her nosy sister telling her everything. so she got off the phone and sat down an told me what going on. your body is going through changes and every female will have them. don't be scared. this means you are becoming a young woman... that's all. good luck sister cause you will have those days.

no i didnt know what period was untill i started bleeding one day and i thought i was going to die,i started crying and my older sister was just laughing,very mean.then my mom found out and thats when she finally told me i was sop angry they didnt tell me before.if you dont feel comftrouble asking your mom just talk to a friend or some girl you trust

yes but you shouldn't be embarrassed about it. Just walk up to her and say "Mom I started my period" just make sure no one else is in the room.

I was never able to talk to my mom about anything. But luckily I had a School Councelor and a P.E. teacher who helped.

yes! i didnt tell her at all. she found out when i was using her pads.
