I like the name very much, it is individual and any name associated with butterflys is pretty and feminine. I also like how it is sioux, I think it is important that you keep traditional sioux names. Marie is italian for Mary, as in our Mother Mary the mother of Jesus Christ our lord, so a beautiful name in its own right.

Okay, I think the sentiment is nice, but for a name, I wouldn't name my child Kimimila. Just reading it on the computer screen, I had to squint to see how many "i's" and "m's" and "l's" there were. Imagine that reaction to someone reading your name for your whole life.

Is there another name that means "Butterfly" so that you can kind of have similar names, or perhaps a simpler Sioux name?

Ultimately, it's up to you. Most names that I don't like immediately, I get used to if I know someone named that, and that would happen with most people she meets. I just have a preference for more traditional or at least easier to see/pronounce names.

It reminds me of the British royal Camilla.

But I like the name Kimimila. I'm glad it has some meaning for you. Try a different middle name. Marie is so boring and common.

Remember that you BARELY EVER use your middle name when you are telling someone your name, so focus on the sound of the first name and last name and just make the middle name more of something that means something to you.

I don't like it... It doesn't look like it would be pronounced the way it should. It is a little strange to me. Just being honest.

It's a little hard to spell and pronounce. It looks like it would be pronounced like kim-im-eel-ah. What if you spelled it Kimilia? I like that a lot better.
