yes you can have 2 Monitor with one CPU and only one mouse and Key board. you have to have a video card that supports this... or if your using a laptop just plug the monitor into the laptop and adjust your visual settings.

If you have the right video card there should be a second monitor plug-in on the back of you're computer. If you don't have the right video card you will have to go get it. But this really does you know good the only thing that i know of that this does is acts as a extension of you're current monitor ex. bigger desktop or window's it would also allow you to have two windows open on full screen at the same time. but you can not have more than one keyboard or mouse hooked up that i know off. Also to answer the last part you can have as many monitors as you want hooked up if you have a certain type of box, that has monitor plug-ins and splits the screen to those monitors too, but these would show the same picture as you're second monitor.

You can only have more than one monitor on your PC if your video card supports it or if you have the ability to have multiple video cards.
Why would you want to do this? You will only be able to extend the desktop to the other monitor or stretch it across two. You will not be able to connect to the internet separately.
You will need another VGA chord, more than one PCI video card such as Matrox (which specializes in multiple monitors) or NVIDIA. Or you could get a card that has both VGA and composit video out. You should be able to switch between the two, but not so sure both at the same time. You may also need a video splitter or switch depending on your setup.
At any rate multiple monitor setup on one PC is buggy at best and not for the novice. I would suggest either reading up more on the subject or letting this one go.
Good Luck!

Well you can have 2,3,8 etc. or more monitors hooked to one PC and there are many ways to do that. If you for example want to extend your desk top (side by side monitors) for work such a graphicv design while doing something else, it a easy as getting a graphic card for your PC that will operate two monitors (have to connections in the card for both monitors). Using Windows XP you can extend your desktop or make the other hookedup monotor to show exacly what the one you are working on is. Getting a signal spliter will allow you to display the same image on multiple monitors (notice in commercial places that monitors are displaying same images {best buy etc..}).

YES.
It depends on the Video card, and to some degree on the OS and MB.
Many current cards have 2 (or more) outputs.
If you are "local" you would NOT need more than 1 keyboard and mouse.
NOTE: MANY earlier Unix systems on "Mainframe" computers had just the 1 computer but connected to users through remote "terminals" and have been known to have several HUNDRED terminals active at the same time! This was BEFORE there were PC's (personal Computer's!!)

If you have the right video drivers you can.
A CPU is a Central Processing Unit. That's the main processing unit inside your computer. A Personal Computer (PC) is the term your looking for.

Hi. Yes, if your graphics card supports it. A lot do. You can have both doing separate things or use one as an extension of the other. (Drag an application from 1 to 2.)

If you have a video card that has two outputs, you can connect two monitors. How many are a max? I think it depends on how many spare PCI or PCIE or AGP slots there are. Each one could drive two monitors.
