Baroness Russlein von Altebar

A well-heeled female ghost appears to descendents of Count Johannes Rathenau, an Austrian noble who slaughtered the defenders of Schloss Altebar in Bavaria during the Middle Ages. To this day, the Baroness Russlein von Altebar seeks her revenge, first appearing as a beautiful courtesan then turning into a rotting corpse. In Vienna, she boarded the cab of Walther Rathenau, who died of fright. Major Helmut Rathenau met her in a casino in Badden Baden and died of a heart attack. In Munich, Carl Heinz Rathenau was "turned into a mummy" after meeting the comely ghost on the street.

Boo!

Lots of people know about bloody Mary or Mary J or something like that. She was a witch and was in a witch trial in Salem. Well she was accused of one. Either she was hung or burnt in the fire, and the legend moved on. Many people say they see her face or atleast her ghostly image in a mirror of a dark room when repeating the name bloody mary 3-5 times. She is known to scratch people because of her grudge or will just scare you to death. Dare to try?

About 17 years ago when I was around 14 or 15 years old I spent the night in an old house that my friend's parents were renting while they built there new home. I had stayed there several times before without anything bad happening. We knew it was haunted because of strange things going on in the home. Sometimes you would see things move on there own, hear knocking on doors and walls, hear the toilet flush, The t.v. would cut off by itself, you could hear foot steps walking the stairway... ect. One night as I laid in my pallet upstairs beside my friend, sleeping in her day bed, I heard foot steps on the stairway outside of her door (Everything was old and creaky in this house). I thought to myself please be her mama, I pulled the covers over my head when I heard her door began to creak as something slowly pushed it open. On the floor beside the door was a lamp, I heard it fall over. I didn't hear the foot steps in the room but I felt something bump into my pillow as if it didn't see me there. Then I heard a voice whisperer my friends name, twice. I laid there for what seemed like hours (never hearing it leave) I finally fell asleep only to be awoken again but this time I could not move, I could not breath and I felt this horrible pain on my chest like a weight. It was like someone was on top of my chest. I tried shaking my head, moving my eyes, moving my body parts... nothing. I began to freak inside because I wasn't getting no air Still. So I began to pray in my head over and over...Then... it was gone. I was to scared to move, so I just laid there until I was finally asleep again. I told my friend the next day and she told me that one night she was dreaming that there was a demon crotched down on top of her chest. When she woke she was unable to move or breath as well. She began to pray... then, it was go. Just like with me!!! She said she hadn't told me because she was unsure if it really happened or if it was all a dream that just seemed real.
