Does anyone agree that in order to determine what you need as far as Free Agents and the Draft that you should do so according to what you need to defeat the teams in your division so that you can win it? I am a rabid Buffalo Bills fan and I seem to be at a loss for words whenever someone asks if i know what the heck they are doing as far as trading away the talent they have for sub-par players and not re-signing key players. Is any of this stuff that logical? I would think that the New England Patriots are the team to beat in the division and I would want to get the personell needed to beat them, anyone have any other ideas?

it all comes down to how good your peanut and coke vendors are....end of story. the patriots always have good vendors and that is why they are on top.

naw, but on a serious note, the bills are just trying to revamp their whole team. what they have had the past few years has not worked. it is a similar situation with my team the dolphins. they have got rid of half their offense and havent really signed anybody except for trent green. wait to see what happens with the rest of free agency and the draft. then hope for the best. i have got upset about offseason moves before and then we were better the next year, so wait and see.

now if your team is the vikings, then i would worry. they had the worst offense in the history of the game last year, and the 32 ranked pass defense. now they have openly stated that they arent doing anything in free agency because the players they have are all of a sudden gonna be good. haha, that is funny!

To win their division everyone on the team must work together as a team, get along and most of all you need passion. If the players would forget about the money ,i think we would have a hell of a competition.

well they need a lot of good scouting so they can do good in the draft because good players can be drafted in the later rounds. As for free agency don't throw all your money at an okay player. also good D and a winning record will win your division.

Sweep your divisional games or go at least 5-1. Have at least a .667 winning percentage versus conference opponents. Finish over .500 in non-conference games. That pretty much gets you a division title, because if you meet those requirements, that gives you 10-11 wins. 11-5 in most cases is a division title worthy record.

You can't afford everyone ,and when a player is approaching free agency(the end of his contract) you trade him to stay under the salary cap.And when you do trade a real good player don't trade him to a team in your division .
