I just started taking BC pills, and they are the LOWEST dosage of hormones I can get. Im in the 1% of women who are severly affected by introducing more hormones into my body... But I HAVE TO TAKE THEM. Not to prevent pregnancy, (I wish I could get pregnant), but I have endometriosis and cant afford the surgeries. This is the only effective way to lessen the pain I get each month. I just started them on sunday, I've had TERRIBLE hot flashes, I feel nausious ALL THE TIME except for in the morning, and Im easily upsettable, meaning I cry over everything. Im usually NOT this emotional and I cant control it. Its terrible. How long will I feel like this? How long till these symptoms wear off and Im back to normal???

First I would suggest that you start taking them before bed. Usually when meds are taken before bedtime, you sleep through most of the side effects.

When I started taking B.C. pills it took about a month to a month and a half for my body to fully get used to them.

Hang in there mama! :)

I wish I could give you a definite timeline, but it's hard to tell. Usually, it should only last the 1st 3 mos. or so, but it could take a little longer since your body, much like mine, doesn't like outside hormones being injected into it on a daily basis. Try to eat crackers to settle the stomach and invest in Ben & Jerry's stock for the crying! Just kidding! (I'm in the same boat b/c even TV commercials make me cry!) Talk to your ob/gyn if the symptoms persist and see if there's anything you can do or take to relieve yourself from the symptoms. You have to remember that BC pills are meant to trick your body into thinking it's pregnant to prevent ovulation, so what you're experiencing is pretty much what you'll feel like when (and if) you decide to get pregnant one day. I hope it helps a little!

Many times it can take up to 3 months for the side effects to subside. Try taking them at night before you retire to help with the nausea. As for your other side effects, they should get better with a little time. Your body must adjust to the hormones. If these symptoms worsen or do not get better, inform your health care provider. I wish you the best of luck.

A lot of bc's have nausea as a common side effect. If you just started the pack then I would just to finish it and see if it persists. However, if the nausea is just to much, then I would suggest you call your doctor. There are other low dose hormones on that market and it's normal to have to try a couple out before you find the right one.

there is this thing called Limu Original because there are some imitations and do not use as much Coudin as the original do!!

You should look into it for your problem is a natural way to take care of your problem..............people with artrithis have been known to stop having pain. It is supposed to help your immune system.

I use it when I work out as a muscle pain relief..........I went hiking one time and could not walk the next day.

began taking Limu and after two weeks decided to go hiking again....I felt no pain so I went again the next day and I began running the following day and martial arts and weights after that......now until five days of rigorous exercise feel a bit of pain in some muscles but not enough to stop exercising as with the first time before taking it!!!

e-mail me and I could send you some info on it.......where to get it and how much it costs, or maybe find info if it could help you with your problem.

Good luck!!

Have your doctor switch your meds - you shouldn't feel this way. There are lots of BCP's out there. I have endometriosis & PCOS and Yaz almost destroyed my life - seriously. I'd taken Ortho Cyclen before without any real side effect, but it also didn't help with the pain as well as I'd hoped. Ask your doctor about Meclomen. It decreases your flow - which in turn decreases your pain. It's REALLY helped me!

Weird. I think it depends on your body. I take Aviane, and I had nausea for one day, and that was it. But everyone reacts differently.

I'm sorry. I wish I could help you more. :(
