Calla Lillie's do well in semi shade in hot climates. I grow my Lillie's in the semi shade as well. I'm in a hot dry climate and a little sun goes a long way. Lilly bulbs dry out very quickly and are not as robust as other bulbs, plant immediately. I plant mine in the ground and my climate only gets down to 20 deg F so I can guarantee that level of cold will not affect flowering. My climate is too hot for Asiatic Lil lies even with the winter chill. They grow stunted and spindly and don't flower well. I find the LA Hybrids do really well in hot climates with some winter chill (I'm in a warm temperate climate) Zone 9. Calla's should perform well in a good size pot. Good luck.

You can plant them now, but keep them indoors for a couple more weeks if you fear for another cold spell. Lillies are very tempermental and don't like cold at all. If they get the slightest bit chilled they could go dormant for up to 3 years. Wait until you know that the weather will be nice and then give the outdoor exposure you want.

Yes, go ahead and plant them. About 4-6 inches deep.

It is a little late to be planting bulbs. They will probably not come up until next fall.

some kinds take time to verify earlier flowering. the difficulty-loose white and the fairway goddess flower reliably, different colours would properly be tempermental. If that is healthful, that is going to at last flower - I advance mine in comprehensive solar and in colour and that they flower precise.
