bought a new laptop and im eligible for an free upgrade to vista home premium for free. cant say no to FREE
anyways anyone have this windows vista home premium, are u happy with it? any bad things about it?

Just be aware that if you have loaded any software or printers, etc., that they may not work when you install Vista.
Before I install Vista, run the Vista upgrade checker first to see if your computer can even run Vista.

Right now people have been having some problems with it, certain programs have not been working with it, certain devices such as printers, routers and so on aren't playing nice with it. So basic this time period it the test run and during that time microsoft will come up with the fixes, so you can go ahead and get your free copy. But I would wait at least 4-6 months before installing it, after that go ahead and by then windows updates should have some fixes to download.

I got a new computer back in Feb and it came with Vista and I like it. It does have some problems that I don't like it wants me to make a back up file every month, it always asks me if I want to let a certain page open, it's trying to protect my computer but it gets me mad after a while.

It's good enough for everyday use, minor problems. Overall, I am happier with it, the new features outweigh the problems. Besides any problems will be resolved within 6 months.

if i were you i would say no to free ... they would have to pay me at this point to run that cr@p ... if ur gonna do it image ur system onto a dvd set with nortons ghost or somthing so u can put it back when u find out im ryt ..
