I am taking a vacation soon and there will be numerous beach/pool parties to attend. I am a guy, 6'4 and weigh 200 pounds and have a nice trim body, but not muscular, just trim and fit . I refuse to wear a speedo but not sure if I should go with the more conservative board shorts or something tighther and more daring and thigh length.

same as a short man.Size has nothing to do with it but I think speedos look bad on all MEN myself I prefer the shorts looking ones

wear board shorts. They look out of the water are comfortable.

Stick with board shorts!
Stay away from vertical stripes (make you appear taller) and thick horizontal stripes (can make you look boxier.)
