Why does my monitor suddenly change the display size (not resolution) and then suddenly switch back at times.?

3 year old Envision monitor. It stays ok vertically, but shrinks the size horizontally, like it is a smaller screen. Doing it more and more and staying smaller longer.

does the screen (image) appear to be jumpy and shaky at times? If so then your monitor is going bad and you need a new one

Hi. Unfortunately this is usually an electronic problem. If you use a CRT (TV like) monitor the problem is probably in the high voltage system/ In any event, start saving for a new(er) monitor.

Are you accidentially hitting CTRL + Mouse scroll by accident?
