The Cards entered the division, jk.
This is what happened, Warner got injured and played bad, they lost a lot of their defense and their o-line is terrible now. All once great teams collapse, watch the colts this year because they've lost so much key talent.

What people forget is that the Super Bowl winning Rams in 2000 had a mediocre defense, and their defense continued to be mediocre throughout the 2000's. They dont have Faulk and Warner anymore, but they can still score 30 a game with Bulger, Holt, Bruce, Steven Jackson, and now they've added top possession WR Drew Bennett. The question is, can the defense avoid giving up 30? They made a few moves defensively in free agency, but none that appear to be of a major impact so far. The best thing the Rams have going for them is that they play in the NFC Worst, a division where the champion was 9-7 (Seattle) last season and their record made them look a lot better than they really were. The Rams could charge their way into the division title or wild card.

Holt is still a great receiver (best in the NFL in my opinion), Warner left the team and never looked decent again (he was only good on the Rams because Holt, Bruce, and Faulk made him look good), and after the Rams drafted Steven Jackson, a monster RB out of OSU, Faulk's playing time went way down because he's getting older and slower. The fact that they've gone downhill has more to do with their defense than with their offense though. Everyone in the NFL knows that they can't stop the run.

I am so disappointed in the Rams. I am going to write them off for the rest of the season. Might as well wait for next year. They must like losing because they do it so well. The way they are playing they can't beat any of the teams they have left to play. If i was a good player and i wanted to win i would go to another team. The Rams won't win because the team has already given up. They let Kurt Warner go and now they are jinxed. The new helmets did not do a dam thing. We need a new team. I had hoped like a lot of loyal fans from California they would come back. But, why we already have enough losers. Stay in St. Louis.

they redifined the indoor game too, remember when they were called "the greatest show on turf" the league couldnt hang with their style of play. that was a great year & the celebration was nutz downtown right after the game, i should know, i was there.
Then the coaching went followed by the players, hopefully they will keep rebuilding & have a solid season.

Decimated by technique of injuries to the O-line is the numerous reason. That led to Bulger getting battered round and lacking time. Jackson also neglected time with a nasty groin. only too many injuries, no crew could cope w/ that.

Same thing that happened in L.A., they built a good team, a good coach, then they started to pinch pennies trying to put a cheaper and cheaper team on the field every year. Get used to it, Georgia Frontier is the same person today as she was back then, it aint about football, its all about profits.
