If you have sex the 2 days before and NOT the day of ovulation that you are more likely to have a girl???

The gender of your child is determined by the sperm. depending on whether or not you are impregnated by an xy or an xx chromosome determines the sex.
Now... there may be a relationship to the acidity of the vagina at certain points in your cycle which determine the viability of the sperm.
But then, only chemists could figure that out! :)

there are sources that claim that if you want a boy you should have sex on ovulation day. The reasoning is that Y sperm swim faster but tire out and die quicker. X sperm are slower but have more staying power. Therefore the Y sperm will reach the egg faster if you have sex on ovulation day. If you have sex before the stronger slower X will outlast the Y. Now whether or not this is true remains to be seen.

What I have read and heard is that girl sperm is slower than boy sperm. Therefore, if you have sex before you ovulate it is more likely to be a girl. if you have sex the day of ovulation is more likely to be a boy. I heard this watching a midwife show on tv. Even though it can boost your chances of having the sex of your choice, it still is pretty much a 50% chance either way.

No, it's not true. The father's sperm decides what sex the baby will be. It doesn't matter if you stand on your head, run around in circles or say ancient chants after sex. The sperm is the determining factor. You have nothing to do with it. If you want a girl I hope you get one. But be happy either way. Good luck to you.

i dont think so. but if u really want to know what your going to have, in the order u have it in, all u have to do is take a needle and thread (involves no poking of any sort), thread the needle and have someone hold it (so its steady) over one of ur wrist and is will spin in a circle for a girl and side to side for a boy. and it will change all on its own. and it really works to. mine came out girl, boy. i had a girl 4 years ago and im 5 months pregnant w/ a boy now. so u should really try it some time. but it only works on girls though.

Load of Crap! It all on the little guy! Glad its the mans fault on the baby's sex. Anyways Sperm can live in your body for up to three days! It wouldnt matter than huh?

I heard that the sex of the baby had to do with the rate of ejaculation like fast is a girl, slow is a boy lol but im not sure.

I've never heard of such a thing/ lots of stories about how you can have a girl/boy. One way or another it comes down to the sex of the sperm.
