lol! I was STUCK in the middle too.

But I did have slight "brushes" with the popular girls. One would befriend me and invite me to sit with the other popular girls during lunch in the cafeteria. It's fun while it lasts but the friendship kinda slacks off and goes back to normal.

I had many "nerdy" friends in the art and animation classes. They were good guys and girls and many are still my friends.

But due to my "follower" and "I work alone" characteristics, I was stuck in the middle most of my school years.

PS: Those were good times...I miss middle and high school. College is so boring cuz friendships come and vanish forever each semester.

Know what? I fell in the middle too....during my high school years I went out with a cheerleader (two times), the vice-president of the Physics Club (for about three months), a future 3.9 QPA in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie-Melon University (it was one of those "Oh God, I need a Prom Date" deals, but we both liked baseball, and headed down to Three Rivers Stadium to see the Buccos a couple times...they were good back then.), and a member of the Color Guard (the Drill Team, the Silks...the chicks that twirl the flags in front of the marching band---we hung out together almost all of the summer between junior and senior years.). I had friends in almost every chunk of the school population...that was pretty cool....cliques suck.

I crossed over into several groups because I was involved in many school activities. BUT....

MAINLY I was a Band Nerd and LOVED being that!!! Band is AWESOME! We were (and many still are) good buddies forever! It was like our second family! And the scholarships I received for playing my flute well, put me through college!!! It is totally cool being a Band Nerd!!!

Mostly the nerds, some of my friends liked to hang out with the slacker group too, so it was split between them.

Me too. There was a group of about 6 of us who were always together. We would associate with other groups but we were our own and we had a lot of fun! HS was pretty much the same thing

Depends on the age. When I was young I was in what I guess is the "coolish" group, but when I was in highschool, I was in what could be considered a "nerdish" group. I enjoyed being in the nerdish group, less drama.

I was a middle of the roader as well. Definitely not good looking or rich enough to be "cool" or smart enough to be a "nerd".

um, iwasnt really a nerd, but i guess i fell in that category more so than the cool. Being cool meant being a snob and I hate snobs.

I was a bookworm nerd but a dancer on the dance squad so I straddled both worlds.
