Big scam. Have you ever bought a ticket for this lottery? They want your money and they have none to offer you.

There are so many ways to get burned by this scam.

1. They tell you that there is a fee for taxes or expenses or something that you need to pay up front. You pay, they disappear.

2. They send you a big check and you are instructed to cash it and then pay them back fees and taxes and such from that check. Once that is done, they will send you the rest of the money. You do that and they disappear and then you find out the check was bad and you are expected to give the money back to the bank.

3. They need your bank account info so they can put the money in there. They empty the account out and/or they use the account for more illegal purposes which really ruins your life for a while.

4. They need all of your identification information for verification or something. They use this to steal your identity. That can haunt you for years.

Did you purchase a BARCLAYS INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY ticket (if such a thing exists)? Do you have any previous affiliation with Barclays International? If not, then of course it is a scam. You need to report it to Barclays.

The following was taken from their corporate website:

If you've received a scam email, please forward it on to internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk. We won't be able to reply individually but we do investigate every email to ensure that any fake sites are closed down as quickly as possible.

if they tell you to deposit a check almost for 3,000 for so called "fees" don't do it. I got a check from Nova Scotia months ago, the person I was supposed to speak to was never there, and the check for 2,999 was supposed to be for fees..which I just knew it wasn't legit..they said I won over 60,000 dollars...that stuff is fake don't waste your time.
