Chuck everything onto the bed, and throw all rubbish in a bin liner. Then just work through the pile you have created. That way you make room to get about the room, and you can't go to bed until you finish the job, so you are forced to tidy up..

Get a big black bag, start at the door, work your way to the bed, put all dirty laundry in the black bag. When it's full, go dump it in the laundry basket, then go back and repeat the process until all laundry is removed.
Next, use the black bag for any rubbish in the room, and use this as a chance to declutter at the same time. Anthing you haven't used for the last six months, just chuck it in. Put the black bag in the bin.
Next, go through your wardrobe bit by bit, take out everything, fold and replace.
Go through you dresser/shelves and bedside table/locker and remove any clutte/rubbish and quickly dust down the surfaces.
Strip your bed and make it up with fresh linen.
Clear out under the bed and sort out what you find.
Vacuum the floor, polish all glass, give the switches and sockets a quick wipe with a damp cloth.
Wipe the skirting boards with a damp cloth, and dust off all lampshades and bases.
Finally, light some scented candles, go for a long bath after all your hard work, and enjoy your lovely tidy bedroom!

First thing to do would be to move any dirty clothing into a basket or down to the laundry room. Any clean clothes should be hung up or put in a dresser.
Try to throw out any wrappers or trash that you may have laying around.
To clean clean, strip you bed and remake it... somehow a clean bed makes the process seem easier. (This way, if you have stuff that you don't quite know where to put, you can temporarily place them on your bed.)
Try to reorganize/rearrange any large objects... leave small things such as books alone for the moment (that is after placing them back in a book shelf).
Soon, you're room will begin to take shape.
I'd recommend vaccumming the floor and dusting off all surfaces. If you have time, try to wash the window.
Now that the basics are done, and you have a reasonable tidy room, try going back and focusing on the details... decluttering along the way.
MY ADVICE: the best thing i can tell you to do is to blast some music and dive right in. With the right motivation and determination, you'll be done in no time. BEST OF LUCK

I wish I could advise you on this but I'm a bit messy and untidy myself (not unhygienic though). I try to keep things under control by washing clothes and putting away clean clothes regularly. I also try to bin junk mail as they come because I know if I let them accumulate, they will be everywhere. Get rid of old clothes before you buy new ones. Don't eat your meals in your bedroom or, if you do, you must take the dirty plates and cutlery to the kitchen and wash them as soon as you can. Avoid taking too many books to the bedroom. Just take one and leave it there until you finish reading it. I have often made the mistake of taking too many books to the bedroom thinking that I'll read them at bedtime so now there's a pile of books on the bedside table. Open your window every now and then for some fresh air. Too much moisture from human breath encourages mould to develop on the window frame and it will look really yukky.

Very messy bedrooms are a hassle indeed; there are usually items that go to other rooms of the house that are visiting there. In order to not kill your back by having to bend a stoop everytime you need to pick something up try this approach:
Step 1: Get a heavy duty industrial strength broom with sturdy bristles and a wide head (about 2 foot or wider).
Step 2: Sweep, move or throw everything that doesn't belong in your room into a pile in the middle of the room.
Step 3: Sweep the pile out the door and into the hallway and continue to sweep it to the other side of the house.
(You've just cleaned your room!)
Step 4: As you sweep the "pile" down the hall be on the lookout for items that go into the different rooms of your house and as you pass each room put the items in the pile away into the room that they belong in.
This has worked well for me, hope it helps!

Here is the best way I know ,Set your alarm clock to go off in 15,min´s time ready? all dirty clothes in a pile next to the bedroom door and anything else that does´t belong . You can take then to their rightful places when you have finished. Next all clean clothes to the closet hang up the jeans , jumpers, shirt´s . shoes from under the bed put them away ,Stop. If you think you have had enough for the day then sit down and reward yourself , may it be read your magazine ,watch TV. If you think you would rather carry on the do the same again. you might think 15,min´s is very little time to do anything but trust me you will be surprised just how much you can achieve in this short time . Try for yourself

Hello there, I used to be a mess Queen when I was in college, my Mom always had something to say about my room, anyway, now I live by myself and I like to keep my apartment very clean and this is how I do it.
- If you clean a little bit every day it would take less time and you wouldn't feel it.
- make your bed everyday, it only takes 3 minutes.
- "Get a house" for everything; that way you know where to put your stuff, you don't have to buy expensive bins, go to walmart and search for items that help you to organize scholl materials, pictures, laundry, shoes, bla bla bla.
- One day you can dust, the other day you can vaccum, you don't have to do everything every day.
- Having an organize and clean room will give you more harmony to function better in your room to do homework or just to hangout with your friends there.
I hope you enjoy it. If you have more questions email me.

get a couple of best friends and go about tidying it together. You'll have a laugh finding things you forgot you had. Do a chuck out/charity shop pile, a might need pile and a keep pile. It might take you a few hours, offer them tea or takeaway. Put your favourite music on and time will fly by. When it is nice and tidy KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!! lol. put stuff away as you go, you'll be surprised a tidy room is a happy room.

Try picking one group of items to start on, soooo..... if theres cups plates etc take them to the kitchen first, or try clearing all the laundry into 2 piles, one for clean on for dirty, then once you can see the floor take a bag with you and throw away anything that looks like it might walk off by itself, just imagine how good it'll look again once it's done, this should be enough to keep you going when you've had enough =)
Good Luck (and don't get lost in there).
