no chlorine dosen't make a pool blue it does clear it up though, it is the color rays that are absorbed by the water that makes it blue

chlorine keeps the water in the pool clear and sterile. The water appears blue in a swimming pool due to the suns rays reflecting off of the surface of the water. This is the same in most bodies of water as well

No Chlorine doesn't do it. It would do the same in a freshly filled pool.

In a white tiled pool the water is reflecting the colour of the sky... it is reflecting off the surface usually. If there are a lot of fine particulates in the water, the sky will also reflect off them.

Colour light theory is very interesting because your mind plays perception tricks on you.

although the pool floor may appear white, the tiles often change to blue. blue is the most popular color of pool tiles, so the water appears to be blue. I have been in a brown pool, and it isnt pretty. the water does look brown, and it is nasty.

another thing it could be is dye. some fountains and few pools dye their water so it is blue.

Chlorine makes the water clear. The blue color is the reflection of the sky.

So why is my pool blue at night, if it's the suns ray that makes it blue? The bottom of my pool is white.

If it's an outdoor pool, it's probably just the reflection from the sky.
