Ok 1 I want to get emulaters like mame32 and I also want 2 put things like Doom on it but i don't no how. 2 I have put a psx game on there but it says that i need to activate the system what does that mean?

Let answer #2 first. In order to play PSX games legally, you will need a PS3 and purchase PSX games from Sony Store and download them to your PSP. Otherwise, you will see the message you saw.

That lead to #1, if you want play PSX games illegally, you need to install a custom firmware such as 3.03 OE-c or 3.10 OE-a in order to play them. Also, once you have the custom firmware installed, you can also play emulators you mention in #1.

In order to install custom firmware, you need to downgrade your PSP to version 1.50 first. Also, if you have 3.10 or 3.11, there is no way for you to downgrade your PSP.

Also, downgrading is very risky and can turn your PSP completely useless.

Emulators will only run on custom firmware,
