Place your little hamster in a small box. My kids wrapped their deceased hamster like a gift with a bow. We had a funeral in the back yard and buried him. We said a prayer and placed a rock for a marker. This was many years ago. When we moved they wanted to dig him up and take him with us.......I had to say no to that and explained again that his soul had already moved on to heaven, etc. etc.

We bury them in my circle garden under my Dogwood tree, once the flowers come up they will have dozens of Tiger Lilies to make it a beautiful place for them. My lily leaves are almost a foot tall already and it looks nice right now.
I agree there are some really disgusting, rude, uncaring people answering this question and they should hope that some one has the respect to bury them and not toss them in the trash, microwave them, or shoot them off tied to a rocket when they die. They need to go find something else to do other then hurt the peoples feelings writing the questions, like get a life. I answer only to try and help out some one with the advice I have some knowledge of what their asking.

I always buried all the rodents I've ever had (6 so far) in the garden. There are a ton of foxes and cats in my area and I've never had a problem even in a 6 inch deep grave. If you don't fancy that tho, or you don't have a garden, a vet will take the hamster off you for a minimal, if not non-existent charge.

When my hamster died, I put him in a ziplock bag. Then I put the bag in a small shoe box and buried him at the end of my back yard. The zip lock bag will keep other animals from digging your hamster up.

i was supposed to look after my ex girlfriends hampster and it died,i thought she would go mad,i lived in the middle of london so i put it in a skip and covered it over, when she got back i said i had buried it,but some young boy she knew found it,as you can imagine it didnt go down too well.im an animal lover perhaps you could find a nice little spot somewhere and bury it and say a little prayer, and that spot will always be special to you when you pass it.

bury it in the back garden. Deep though so cats etc cant dig it up. If you want you can plant a flower on the grave or mark it with something

When our hammy Cookie passed, my son made a special box for her, so we wrapped her in a cloth and burried her in our yard and then we planted a flower on top of her grave.

most vets should be able to offer a cremation service at a small cost or the other option is to bury, enuring its a deep enough hole and you wrap the hammy up first. do what you agree with best!
