They have over 600 rooms and a huge property. I think you will be okay. Not everyone goes away for Memorial Day week.
You'll find out when you book.
Have a fun time and good luck

Cabo is always crowded, supposedly it is the fastest growing city in Mexico. Don't let that scare you away, the Riu is a bit outside of town and is very nice and self contained; you never have to leave. I have been there at least a dozen times and it has never been so crowded that I regretted being there. That time of year the weather is usually perfect. Just go, you'll have a great time.

Great resort handles the crowds at that time of year well, only real difficulty is getting there, and traveling around in Cabo there is a good amount of construction ongoing, and traffic can be a problem.

I've never traveled during this time but most resorts expect & plan for larger crowds, so it should be pretty spread out. The time to go for the cheapest trips and the less crowded resorts is right before Thanksgiving, and leave the island ON Thanksgiving. It is unbelieveably peaceful and cheap!
