People allways talk about how the mavericks are going to choke because they always do, and then they say that the suns are going to win the finals! When have the phoenix suns ever won anything, they are just like the mavs.

This is the Mavs year!!! Everyone outside Dallas still sees the Mavs as Don Nelson's team which couldn't be further from the truth. I'm glad they let Nash go because he can't play defense and would get torched by opposing point guards in the playoffs (Bibby).

i think people say the Mavs will choke because they lost in the Finals last season after having a very strong lead against the Heat.
another reason is because Dirk - the best player on the team - has yet to evolve into the clutch shooting - "give me the ball when the game is on the line - player. and i think all championship winning teams need that from their best player. evidence was found in the recent suns vs mavs game where he blew some chances late in the game.
i think another factor - probably the most important one - is that there is expectation. and when there is expectation, there leads to doubt in the players. there is too much pressure on them to win games. look at all the talk about them winning 70 games, and then they dropped some and went on to win close games...just barely getting over the line.
theyre expected to win, and i think thats the most pressure a team can have. especially if they dont have that arrogance that other Championship winning teams had.

What up STAT, Caroon Butler is aiming to be waiting for the playoffs- yet who is conscious. For regardless of reason the Mavs have purely struggled in the placed up-season. they don't look to be a protective minded team -- there may well be some complicated 1st around matchups for them and the playoffs are all approximately matchups- i don't see them getting previous the 2d around this 300 and sixty 5 days. Because they always have a great team in the regular season, with more talent than almost everyone, but still find a way to lose in the playoffs. Until they prove the naysayers wrong, there will be more people who don't believe than do believe.

I agree with it but i dont think the Mavs will choke this year and the suns they beat us once but we already beat them twice and we beat them last and they have the same team this year but MAVS ALL THE WAY

I'm a huge mavericks fan. People are gonna call them chokers until they can get past what happened last year. Is this anyway to judge a team? No. But this is how people are.

I agree, both teams have a lot to prove and it's championship or bust for both franchises, should make for a great Western Conference Finals!

western conf is a bunch of chokers, pistons will dominate in the end. other teams are scared of playing at the palace, we beat up nba players
