Yes we rescued a squirrel because its mum had been killed, we hand reared her with milk and named her Squidge...she grew up to be so tame and she'd let you handle her, we had her for nearly 7 years but unfortunately 2 years ago she escaped and we never saw her again, presumably a fox got her. It makes me sad to think about her - in the end she got her freedom. She would never have survived had we not rescued her but perhaps she wasn't meant to be so tame. Nature can be so cruel sometimes. I still hope she may return one day but have deep down lost all hope now of seeing her again.

Being a Londoner, get some peanuts and go to St. James' Park, near Buckingham Palace.
You will find the squirrels there are quite tame and will takepeanuts from you and even sit in your arm and eat them if you are patient enough.

Same with Regents Park, but I think those squirrels are a bit more ferocious for some reason.

yes, my grandmother found a squirrel hit by a car on the side of the road. she stopped and took it to the vet. they saved it but it was paralyzed from the waist down. so she had to keep it and take care of it. that thing lived for a long time. my grandma really cares about animals. so yes, i have held a squirrel and they are cute

Yes in Washington DC, they come from the White House lawn and they sit in your lap and eat from your hand. Any other parks that squirrels frequent you'll usually find squirrels that are very use to people.

We found a baby squirrel in my front yard. I guess that he had fallen out off the nest. He was so little and cute. So yes I have.

I volunteered at a wildlife sanctuary when I was younger and they had orphaned baby squirrels - now they really are cute and they dont bite. they drink a hell of alot of milk though

Yes, it climbed from a tree and in through the double decker bus window and got stuck.

It scratched the be-jesus outta me. It definately won the fight. Cute and violent.

no - they are full of diseases

and as you have pointed out unless you catch a fat, old slow squirrel they are too fast for you

but yes they are cute
