It's Yahoo just being Yahoo. Sometimes my avatar is there, sometimes it is blank, sometimes it is a gray dude and sometime a gray couple. I think it is just growing pains with all the new features they are adding.
Someday soon, I'll bet they merge Answers and 360, then watch the fun begin.
