A six year old boy touched a 4 or 5 year old girl in the genital area. The school notifed the parents of the girl. The girls parents now want to press charges against the parents of the boy for child molestation.
I really think this has gone to far. Yes the child should be talked to about right and wrong. However, I feel this may have been a case of pure curiosity. What are your opinions?

First of all, the law requires that there is some form of intent. A child of 5 can hardly have a sexually motivated intent and therefore cannot have molested anyone.

If the state for Florida has an applicable statute, I suspect that the statute was intended to apply to post pubescent minors. That can't stop the parents from trying to press charges or stop some headline seeking prosecutor from allowing it, but there is no basis for it.

that is lengthy gone too a concepts. yet because of human beings like that different guy in Florida who became only at present convicted of the rape and homicide of a 9 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous lady, we've change right into a rustic of paranoid zombies, which isn't inevitably a nasty ingredient. enable the mothers and fathers press prices. it will never see the interior of a courtroom room. Cooler heads will succeed to steer away from a drawn out courtroom conflict, besides the indisputable fact that the 6 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous has considered his very last day in that diverse college.

It would depend on how far "touching" went. The girl could be just as scarred from a six year old boy's behavior as a man if she felt violated and she probably did.

Under the circumstances I agree that this is just a case of curiosity because of the age of the children involved. It is important that the parents of both of the children involved speak with their kids.

This is ridiculous, kids this age are naturally curious.I seriously doubt the little boy had any malevolent intent. He should just be told this is not something he should be doing. To call in the Police will really inflame this situation and probably scar the both of them.
