15. How should I carry money ...?
Preferably Travelers cheques and cash in Indian currency up to $200 at all times to pay for local services. Credit cards are also widely accepted in Goa and India today.
Check out the pages on Currency Exchange Centers in Goa and Banks in Goa for more information.

Keep most of your money in the bank. Carry your debit and credit cards, and go to an ATM for cash as needed.

separate cash around your belongings, hide your creit card well, and separate from cash. And take emergency travellers cheque in case you loose everything. Keep everything apart, to lower the chances of lossing everything at once.
Leave credit card details with some one at home who you can call to cancel credit card if its lost or stolen. Same with travellers cheques. Dont take lots of travellers cheques, the exchange rate is quite bad and less and less places are taking them.
