Not at all, it should be an honour to play for your country. Those people who are good enough should see it as a priviledge. I would swap places with any of them.

No I don't think they should get paid they already have enough money as it is. And besides there is a time where it's not about the money, playing for your country is an honor. Just to put on your country's jersey is an honor and a privilege.
Most footballers dream just to play for their country, and if the opportunity comes money should not even compare to representing your country.

It SHOULD be an honour, but recent displays suggest it's not as much of an honour as it should be. When was the last time an England team looked as interested as when they pull on their club shirt?
The only way I can see to get players to show interest in playing for their country is to pay them as much if not more than their club is paying. For me, that would be too expensive - the money could be better spent on grassroots improvement.
Time to accept that England won't come close to winning a trophy for some years yet.

Personally no. I think it's a privilege to be regarded highly enough to play for your nation, but a token gesture to a charity or the likes I'm not really fussed about being offered. However I do think they should be covered or insured for these matches. The potential to be injured or have your career ended is as relevant in these matches as it is in club matches. The payment should be the honor of the national shirt and the playing should be for National pride.

no. Wearing the shirt and representing your country should be enough. it's an honour to play for your country. I do however believe that there should be full compensation if they do get injured while on international duty.

No, I don't think they should. Especially when (like England at the moment) they don't play very well. Like you say, it should be an honour to play for your country-therefore they should do it for that reason alone!

They should not get paid, as stated, as it is for "love" or "honor" or whatever nonsense. The national teams should have to take out an insurance policy to protect clubs from injuries, in my opinion. Similar to what Mark Cuban (Dallas Mavericks owner, NBA) makes Dirk Nowitski (German International and bad ***) do before basketball championships.

each player gets a bounus if scores in his club.
if they play for theyr national team, there is a chance that they could get injured, so this means that they can't play for they club and core goals and get bonues.
so they should get paied to take the chanse and play for theyr country.

NO. It is an honor and a privilege to put on a jersey with your countries name on the front of it and be able to play for them.
