I have observed that many people who brag about what they have/what they have done..etc are just doing it for approval and attention/acceptance.

Whereas people who really have achieved a lot tend to keep it to themselves. They don't feel as though they need to tell the world.

Have you noticed this?

its usually the way, i find people who shout about themselves all the time to be really shallow and people who keep quiet usually much more interesting

Certian things I keep low key, while others I scream out to the world, and I know that I am bragging, but I just want to!

For example: I get really good grades and always have. So whenever I get an A on a big test, I don't say anything, while others are screaming and running around the classroom.

But uh...sometimes...Since I ballroom dance, I go to competitions. After a state wide competition, I was awarded 1st place in Junior Latin devision Gold. This is a pretty big title for me anyway, so I told everyone, but they don't care about ballroom dance at all, so I got a lot of annoyed looks. Oh well...GOING BACK THERE IN LESS THAN A MONTH!!

Yes, i have noticed. They talk so loud, i actually cant hear them. These people who accomplished much do it much for their own glory and not for God who gave them the strength. Sometimes, i would be proud of my great report card but i would not brag about it. I rather keep it low key and encourage others to work as hard. You can be a difference too.

Yes, I have noticed that, I have a friend who does it, and it can get annoying at times, but I consider her to be a good mate so I don't burst her bubble. I'm the opposite, and tend to keep my achievements low key, even when someone asks about them, I'm really not the type of person to brag.

I suppose I have noticed this, but personally I like to keep it low-key, and I haven't achieved a lot....think that's just the way I am.

think it depends on the person - some people love attention so any achievement they brag and go on about it forever

some others achieve loads and say nothing because they dont want the attention or because they dont wanna be called a geek or what not.... or worse have a teacher brag on their behalf in assembly.

Bragging detracts from any real achievement! I think the achievement speaks for itself! Keep it low key and be proud of yourself, I say!

Yes I have noticed that. They do so because they are lacking something emotionally or for whatever other reasons. They are basically insecure. As for myself I prefer to keep certain things low key.

Always low key.

Well I think it's good to be proud of yourself but not to the extent where it is verging on arrogance.

People who feel the need to put it in your face are the ones who are probably exaggerating/lying because it seems to be 'trying too hard'.
